Who We Are

Every child deserves opportunity. Every woman deserves dignity. Every community deserves safety.

Just as hunger should not exist in today’s world, inequality, lack of education, and unsafe environments should not hold anyone back.

At Odser Charitable Trust, we work to ensure that children learn, women thrive, and communities rise together.

We started simple and grew with purpose. From one person’s vision to a community movement for empowerment.

Odser Charitable Trust was born from the compassion and conviction of Dr. Prem Sethi — a leader who believed that education, dignity, and safety should not be privileges reserved for a few.

What began as Dr. Sethi’s personal effort to support children and women in underserved communities soon grew into structured learning spaces, livelihood programs, and safety initiatives. His belief was simple: every life touched creates a ripple of change.

Guided by his vision, Odser evolved from small acts of service into a committed organisation delivering education, economic independence, and gender safety across Pune.

Today, Dr. Sethi’s mission continues through a growing team of educators, trainers, volunteers, and partners – all carrying forward the purpose he began.

Odser is not just an organisation. It is the legacy of one person’s belief that empowered individuals can transform entire communities.

We create opportunities. Learning, livelihood, and safety that open doors for children and women.

Meri Pathshala

We help children learn, grow, and stay in school. Safe, joyful learning spaces where underprivileged children gain confidence, skills, and academic support to build brighter futures.

Bandhini

We help women earn, lead, and become financially independent.
A livelihood initiative that equips women with skills, micro-entrepreneurship opportunities, and income pathways that transform households.

SHE Matters (Safety, Health & Empowerment)

We help communities create safer, more gender-sensitive environments.
Through POSH training, awareness workshops, and sensitization programs, we support schools, colleges, and workplaces in building cultures of respect and safety.

Together, these programs build a foundation of education, economic empowerment, and safety, the pillars of lasting social change. Because a child dropping out of school, a woman remaining financially dependent, or a person feeling unsafe at work is a loss not just for that individual, but for society. We believe that change begins at the grassroots and grows when communities are supported, informed, and empowered.

We build from ground up. Community-led programs shaped by real needs, not assumptions.

We identify real needs through honest ground-level interaction.

We design practical, scalable programs that uplift children and women with dignity.

We engage volunteers, teachers, and trainers who make learning and safety accessible.

We partner with corporates and institutions to
strengthen POSH, training, and community initiatives.

We measure outcomes transparently to ensure that change is tangible and sustainable.

We work through a simple, community-driven approach: we listen first, design with purpose, and act alongside the people we serve.
Every solution is rooted in dignity, practicality, and long-term impact. Our approach ensures that every effort leads to lasting
transformation – built with the community, for the community.

We go where we are needed the most. Where resources are scarce but potential is limitless.

Urban slums and low-income communities where children need
educational support

Schools and colleges where awareness and gender sensitization
create safer spaces

Women-led micro-enterprise clusters where livelihoods can
transform families

Corporate and institutional workplaces strengthening POSH
culture and compliance

Local community centres and learning spaces built for joyful, inclusive learning

Our work is rooted in Pune and the surrounding communities — in neighbourhoods, schools, and homes where opportunity is often
out of reach but hope is never lost. Wherever children need support, women seek independence, or communities strive for safety — that’s where we show up.

  • Get Involved in whatever capacity possible.

Our work is powered by people who believe that every child deserves opportunity and every woman deserves dignity. Your contribution — big or small — keeps our learning centres running, supports women’s livelihoods, and brings safety training to schools, colleges, and workplaces.

We depend on the generosity of individuals, corporates, and well-wishers who choose to stand with communities that need it most. Your support doesn’t just fund programs — it transforms lives.
