When the Odser team came to our school, I was first scared and shy. I thought they will talk about things that we should not talk about in front of boys, I was uncomfortable in the beginning.
But slowly the trainers explained everything in a simple and respectful way. They talked about boundaries, consent and dignity in a manner that made sense to us. They used games, real life examples and questions that made all of us think. They did not lecture us. They helped us understand.
For the first time, I realised that saying no is not rude. It is a basic right. I learned that every person deserves to feel safe and respected, no matter where they are. I also understood that this is not something only girls need to learn. Boys must learn it too, because safety and respect are shared responsibilities.
By the end of the session, I felt more confident. I felt that if something is wrong, I can speak up. And I felt proud that my classmates, both boys and girls, were taking this seriously. It made me believe that change is possible when we all learn together.
